Comments: I was just given a 2 tone brown lucite Wilardy box purse with a long hook-like handle. The purse opens up like an accordian into 3 layers or tiers. Can anyone give me info about it. I couldn't find the style on line. I was told it was from the 50's.

Comments: About 10 days ago I wrote an email to William H.Hardy who I knew as Bill. Perhaps it didn't get thru, but I worked for Wilardy Originals for about 7 years. I first started in NYC on 41 street (?) off l0th avenue and then the company moved to Union City which was wonderful for me because I lived in Weehawken. As I mentioned all of the family (Mr & Mrs. Charles Hardy, Bill and Helen, and Fred and Rita) attended my wedding in l958. I would love to hear from you and catch up on the missing years. MY phone # 973 992-0592 or email me. Florence (Flo) Leibell

Comments: What a cool website! I purchased my first lucite handbag as a teen and now have collected 8! My favorites are my Wilardy purses since they are the most unique and in the best condition. They are some of my most prized possesions. What a wonderful designer you are Mr. Hardy.. .your purses epitomize the meaning of the saying "they don't make them like they used to." Ciao

Comments: What a thrill and an honor to stumble upon your website! It must be new?!
I am a passionate purse collector...especially Lucites, and especially Wilardy's! I am extremely fortunate to have some rare and wonderful Wilardy's that I have acquired from Janice Berkson and Gael Skolnick, and a few lucky on-line buys.
You are a wonderful man, your bags are treasured works of art that will go on forever by those of us who will take care of them and pass them on to the next generation!
Thank you for sharing yourself by creating this website! How lucky for those of us who are passionate about your purses!
